Sondoong cave 2024 | Recent Discovery Causes a Stir!
The discovery of the tallest sinkhole in Vietnam and one of the highest in the world at Phong Nha - Ke Bang has sent shockwaves. Larger than the famous sinkhole in Son Doong Cave, this newly found colossal sinkhole named Kong Collapse has been unveiled for adventurous tourism after lying dormant for over millions of years in the deep mysterious forests of Phong Nha - Ke Bang.
Standing at a height of 450m, Kong Collapse is currently the tallest sinkhole in Vietnam and among the highest in the world. Hidden beneath Kong Collapse is a tropical forest within the cave, with numerous passages leading to other caverns through underground streams.
The breathtaking and challenging trek leads to one of the most beautiful, highest, and deepest camping sites on the planet. In the late afternoon, you may spot squirrels gliding across the mouth of the sinkhole.
